Interview on Channel F Podcast: Part I of a look back at my band life (1988-98)

Huge thanks to Faizal Sheriff for featuring me as an interviewee on Channel F Podcast! The first of a two-part interview is out now. I've been grateful for all the opportunities I've had to speak about my work with Wavelength and my book Any Night of the Week, but I don't get the chance to reflect much on my musical "career" playing in local indie bands through the '90s.

Here's a look back at my experiences trying to break out of Scarborough and Toronto while attempting to find an original niche in lo-fi, shoegaze and noise-rock. In addition to tracks from A Tuesday Weld and Secret Agent, this podcast episode also features the Internet debut of my high school band Development Site (with Dave Rodgers, later of Neck) — likely the first time anyone's heard our Joy Division-inspired sludge-feast in almost 30 years...

Music track listing from the episode:

0:16: Kid Sniper - "Hard Science" (2002)

21:49: Development Site - "Drowning" (1992)

29:47: A Tuesday Weld - "Umm..." (1994)

45:17: A Tuesday Weld - "Fall to Fade (1993)

57:10: Secret Agent - "Defamation of Character" (1996)
